Here is my entry, which is a scrap compared to what's been
posted so far. Sorry, I'm a bit too 'RL'ised these days, and
it is so hard to keep things under 150.


The "Unthinkable" Challenge - The Prank

Nick blinks, confused, the laughter in his ears a constant
reminder of what just happened. “It was a prank?” he asks the
chuckling woman sitting on the carpet.

“Yes, Nicholas.” LaCroix, leaning over his shoulder, answers
in her stead.” Sorry, we had to try it. The look on your
face…” The woman’s laughter pitches at that.

Nick (angry) “I would have expected something like that from
him. But you? Natalie?”

Natalie (wipes tears) “ ‘m sorry, Nick, really. But the idea
was just so great. And his ‘Life is a Peach’ speech!
Priceless.” Her giggles stop when she sees Nick is gone.

Natalie (hesitantly) “Um, you think we took it a bit too far
this time?” 

LaCroix, “I don’t know, but I’d better go check it out before
it’s too late. Perhaps we should stick to the good old
cake-in-the-face prank next time. Doesn’t pay to be original
these days.”
